Been UBER BUSY!

Wow. I would have never thought running a Second Life business would demand so much dedication, sacrifice, and hard work. I mean, I realized some effort would needed to be applied to running a store inworld...but..its sooo much more than that.

Creations and designs take up almost all my time; Half my friends have "dissolved" their friendships with me. Can I really blame them? I mean I don't socialize anymore like the noob I used to (No offense to the social butterflies of the SL realm there).

Business, I wouldn't say is "booming", has its up's and down's like any other market. I feel pretty good with this Second Life's 2010 Fall Fashion Look Book Open call. Who knows, maybe that's just what this company needs...a boost! So far, the business is only by drop-in's or word-of-mouth. Then again, isn't any decent business when its first starting out?

On to more creative deviations!

Men: Up your game

Guys, I'm going to give you a few tips on what we ladies are looking at when you are hitting on us.

Skin: have a good one like redgrave or belleza.

Shoes: Sculpty We look at shoes. If you want go to Kalnins, get a couple pair there, they color change.

Hair: Not the anime shag that everyone starts with free. Get to uncleweb or kmadd and some real hair.

Clothes: Good SL clothes have prims. Collars, pant legs, sleeves... all should be scultped prims. Shirs should have texture, highlights, wrinkles, detail. If I see poor looking pants on a man I start to loose interest. I recommend the jeans at Fallout  highly.

Eyes: Good eyes have some real lines and highlights,  some shadows, some veins. Detour has some great eyes.

Shape: not the one you were born in. And get one that is real looking no tiny hips and shoulders a mile wide. Tiny heads, big necks, or uhmmm large bulges.

On all of these, ask a hot girl you know to look at what you are considering buying  before you buy it. We know quality when we see it.

Second Life Relationships

I have been on Sl for 8 month.  In my 8 months I have seen some real drama.

There are people in this game that are married in real life and pursue realtionships with Avatars in the game.  For example, a woman that is married in real life dates an avatar in the game, marries him and has children.  Now is that cheating? You are having virtual sex with an avatar, who by the way is controlled by a real life person. There are real emotions involved here. Spending time with someone online day in and day out you begin to get close.

Ok, now you are involved in a relationship on SL and you are married in RL.  Does anyone see the complication? I have been online when an avatar's RL partner finds out about the SL partner and it gets pretty ugly.  RL marriages have broken up over this game.  Real people have been the victim of Domestic violence over this game.

Second life is game and is meant to be Fun.  The purpose of this game is to have a second life and for some a happier life, but when the second life causes more misery to you First life that is not good and that is not what the game was created to do.  Many time you meet an avatar that is completely nuts and has a miserable RL and in turn want to bring that into SL.  My advice to anyone who runs into an avatar like that is to "BLOCK" them. They are not worth you being miserable and not enjoying the game.

So I am  not saying don't have relationships in Sl. What I am saying is be responsible and try not to hurt anyone's emotionally in Sl or Rl.  Have fun and enjoy your Second Life.
