Exploring Gor episode 2

Blogs - Second Travels

Fina_2_001
Welcome to the second installment of Exploring Gor,  the blog series to help you learn a little about the sims within Second Life that make up the world of Gor.  Gor is a immersive role play environment based on 28 novels written by John Norman portraying a primitive world based on caste systems and male dominance.  With 28 novels to pull from it is a much more concise role play environment then most others.  The world of Gor is a mature environment where most sims are rated as adult.  If you venture into Gor you will see violence,  nudity and strong sexual content so it is not a place for children.

Exploring Gor episode 1

Blogs - Second Travels

Rhotis_gor_01Welcome to my new series Exploring Gor.
With this series I will take you through some of the lands of Gor and hope to give you an inkling of what is out there and how the different sims  encompass the vast realm. The first I will take you to is the Port of Ironhall. The first thing you need to know is it is not typical of what you will find in many Gorean sims in SecondLife.  Ironhall is one of the few sims that exists in the north. Northern Gor is vastly different in most places then that in the middle and south of Gor.

AngelGate, three sims full of peace and quiet. It’s a wonderful place and there are many areas to explore. It is a place of inspiration and beauty. The teleporter transports you to such great destinations as Dark Moon. Dark Moon has many features that when clicked on show various culture’s mythical traditions. One of the best parts of Dark Moon is the Eagle Tour. When you first teleport into Dark Moon there is a large eagle with a basket, the eagle transports you across the sim showing all the best sites. The ride is peaceful and transports more than one person. AngelGate is the perfect place for any nature lover with it’s vivid colors and peaceful setting.

I feel the works of an artist’s hands are a mirrored reflection of their soul and spirit. I write poetry and know that every single word I write reveals some tiny fragment of my being. I feel it is the same with those artists who work with other mediums; such as photography, paintings, and sculpture work. I fully respect them and their gift of creativity from a higher source. I know that if you are able to tap into the spirit of creativity, it somehow mixes with your life experiences and your interpretation of life, then art is born. I only came to realize this when I began to write poems.

Wraith & Lady Dragoness - A Dragon Love Affair just Waiting to Happen!

Blogs - Second Travels

This is my personal experience wandering through 'Wraith & Lady Dragoness', one of my favourite sims in Second Life, a travelogue and very subjective. If you like the sound of it, it's a very worthwhile visit.

To the North of the landing spot, is Lady Dragoness, a calm and peaceful place with a lovely romantic area for dance. To the South is Wraith Dragons Temple. There is a lot to see. Deep dark forest with gorgeous rivers and waterfalls. I love the fantasy trees in a myriad of bewitching colours. Pure Fae Magic: I have to say. Particularly at one delightful small area called Fairy Hollow where fly beautiful fairies and dragon fairies. They are beautiful without being twee which is one hell of an achievement..
